While all fruits offer valuable nutrients, mango stands out as a true nutritional superstar that deserves a prominent place in any healthy eating plan. This tropical fruit isn’t just deliciously sweet and satisfying—it’s packed with essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, offering several health benefits.

High in vitamin C, mangoes support immune function and skin health. A single serving of fresh mango delivers over 100% of your daily vitamin C needs, nearly 35% of your vitamin A requirements (essential for eye health) and meaningful amounts of folate, vitamin B6, and vitamin K. The fibre content in mango is equally impressive at about 3 grams per cup, aiding digestion. It also contains compounds like mangiferin, which has been studied for its anti-inflammatory and heart-protective properties. The fruits natural sugars and enzymes are believed to support gut health and energy levels.

All in all, mango is a nutrient dense way to satisfy any sweet tooth.

Fresh mango packs the biggest nutritional punch, so be sure to make the most of mango season. However, tinned mango is a good year round option to keep this vibrant orange fruit on your dinner table.
