These South Asian style fritters are the perfect snack. Pair them with a dipping sauce for a lip-smacking combination.

Ingredients
- 120g Laila Gram Flour
- 1 tsp ajwain seeds
- 2 tsp amchur powder
- 1 tsp crushed chillies
- ½ tsp Laila Chilli Powder
- Himalayan pink salt, to taste
- 2 tsp chaat masala
- water as required
- ½ a pumpkin (small)
- Laila Sunflower Oil, for deep frying
- Laila Bombay Coriander & Mint Sauce, Laila Gujarati Tamarind & Date Sauce, to serve
Method
- In a mixing bowl add gram flour, ajwain seeds, amchur powder, crushed chillies, chilli powder, pink salt & chaat masala.
- Add water to the mixture to make a smooth batter which coats the back of the spoon once dipped.
- Next peel and clean the pumpkin. Cut into thin slices, 1mm in thickness.
- In a medium size pot pour vegetable oil on medium-to-high heat to deep fry.
- Once the oil is hot, dip the sliced pumpkin in the batter, deep fry until golden brown and crispy.
- Sprinkle some chaat masala over and serve hot with Laila Bombay Coriander & Mint Sauce. For a tangy combination try with Laila Gujarati Tamarind & Date Sauce.
