Laila chickpeas in salted water are ready to use, with no need for soaking or cooking, unlike dried pulses. As chickpeas are high in fibre, high in protein and are naturally low in fat and sugar, these can be readily used in salads, curries, and even stews for added texture.

Empty contents into a saucepan. Heat gently, stirring occasionally for 3 to 4 minutes. Do not boil. Drain and serve.
