Roti

Mix 500g of White Atta and a pinch of salt (optional) in a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil and stir.

Slowly add 470ml of warm water, continually mixing until a semi soft dough forms. Cover with a moist cloth and rest for 10 minutes.

Roll into small balls (egg size), flatten and roll out on a floured surface with a rolling pin. It should be 4-5mm thick and 15mm in diameter and round in shape.

Cook in a preheated Skillet, Tava or Griddle until golden brown on both sides. Serve with a knob of butter.
