Ingredients

    • 60g plain yoghurt
    • 2 tbsp Laila Lemon Juice
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 tbsp Laila Garlic Paste
    • 1 tbsp tomato paste
    • 1 tsp allspice
    • ¼ tsp Laila Paprika Powder
    • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
    • ¼ tsp oregano
    • ¼ tsp ginger powder
    • 1 tsp salt
    • ¼ tsp whole black pepper, freshly ground
    • 450g boneless chicken breast, cut into cubes
    • 1 onion, cut into large pieces
    • 8 bamboo skewers

Method

    • In a large bowl, prepare marinade by combing yoghurt, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, tomato paste, allspice, salt and pepper. Whisk together to make a smooth paste.
    • Add the chicken cubes and coat in the marinade. Cover and let rest in the fridge for at least 5 hours, to tenderise the chicken.
    • Divide the chicken and onion and thread onto 8 skewers.
    • Grill on a medium heat for 7-8 minutes each side and serve.
